Riyadh Metro Project

The Riyadh Metro is a rapid transit system under construction in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. TCL has been engaged by Siemens to provide Reliability, Availability and Maintenance Management expert advice and consultancy services to the Rolling Stock design. TCL has been involved in the preparation of the RAMS plan and has led a team of Engineers to prepare technical RAM and safety documentation. Other activities have involved providing reviews of the Technical System packages, Rolling Stock supplier safety documents and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders on technical issues. TCL has supported the project which received an initial design approval by the Independent Safety Assessor to transition to the next phase.

MetrOslo Project

Siemens supported the MetrOslo Rolling Stock Design Project for the client AS Oslo Sporvier to gain approval for full passenger operation on the Oslo Metro infrastructure. Managed the delivery of the Rolling Stock Safety Case and technical safety documentation, prepared, chaired and managed the HAZID Workshops for the Metro Train Design. Developed Project Safety Plan, Train Evacuation and Fire Safety concepts, detailed safety documentation, detailed Train Risk Model for design, test and full passenger stages, Train Hazard Log, Train Evacuation Analysis and Final Design of Fire Safety. The Norwegian Railway Inspectorate endorsed full passenger stage documentation and Final Safety Case for operational service on the Oslo Metro infrastructure in 2007.

NESIC Singapore

NESIC needed to gain design approval from Land Transport Authority for communication system for North East Metro line. As Independent Safety Consultant, provided RAMS support to NESIC Project team. Initially prepared reliability and availability analysis to uncover risks and deficiencies; incorporated maintainability analysis and RAM demonstration plan for C760 communications system; and tested systems prior to deployment. Succeeded in delivering new world-class RAM documentation that gained full approval from the LTA prior to opening of new NEL metro line and network

WORLEY PARSONS

Seconded to Woodside Energy to support the North Rankin 2 Project. Engaged as Principal Risk & Safety Engineer to work with the HSE team on the follow-on post detailed design engineering phase. Developed formal support/safety case documents for the new North Rankin B platform; reviewed contractor H&S deliverables for installation/completion phases; and supported shipment/installation of platform substructure /topsides. Succeeded in delivering installation/completion safety assurance; the platform is now in commercial operation.

ODE required a Chief Technical Safety Manager to work on FEED and detailed safety work in Oil & Gas/Renewable Energy projects. Promoted to lead a team of Engineers across multiple projects. Assessed project requirements; prepared resource planning schedules/cost estimates for formal safety deliverables; led Engineers to prepare and deliver formal safety studies; and liaised with multi-disciplinary project teams and clients on technical safety queries. Succeeded in embedding robust technical capability and building a strong reputation for the company.

AMEC required safety and risk expertise for the ICHTHYS Gas Field Development Project. Engaged as Principal Risk & Safety Engineer to support the INPEX team with FEED for the semi-submersible gas production facility and then led post FEED follow-on engineering phase. Integrated contractor deliverables into formal safety assessment documents; prepared resource planning schedules/ cost estimation; delivered progress reports; and ensured outputs met client needs. Succeeded in delivering safety outputs; project achieved Australian government environmental approval.
